Volunteers Are the Heart of HSHC

At HSHC, our volunteers are the true heartbeat of everything we do. We’d like to take a moment to shine a spotlight on Barb, one of our incredible volunteers. Barb always goes above and beyond to ensure our signage looks fantastic, as you can see in the photo. Her work is a beautiful reminder that volunteering isn’t just about spending time with our animals—it’s so much more.

From working directly with the animals to helping with laundry, dishes, building upkeep, and even maintaining our lawns and grounds, there’s a place for everyone to lend a hand. And let’s not forget about the power of donations! Every single contribution, whether it’s time, effort, or resources, helps keep our doors open and our mission alive.

We rely entirely on the generosity of the public and local businesses to keep our shelter thriving, and we are immensely grateful to each and every one of you who has supported us or continues to do so. Your kindness makes a world of difference for the animals and our community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
